The Action Peoples Party has withdrawn the suit against President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal.
The Counsel to APP, Obed Agu has asked the court to strike out and dismiss the suit challenging Tinubu’s victory at the 25th February presidential election.
Counsel to Tinubu, Wole Olanipekun, said he and his client are not opposing the application for withdrawal, adding that they also are not asking for cost.
Chairman of the tribunal, Justice Haruna Tsammani, subsequently dismissed the suit with no cost attached.
The APP was challenging the Presidential Election on the grounds of alleged non-compliance with the electoral laws as well and INEC guidelines.
Following the dismissal, the court rose and will reconvene at 2pm for the Labour Party’s suit.
