The National Assembly says the proposed 165 billion naira Budget for the National Judicial Council for the 2024 Fiscal year is paltry.
The Committee also summoned the Director General of Budget office as well as the Minister of Budget and National Planning to appear before it on Thursday at noon .

According to the lawmakers the budget as presented has failed and cannot be implemented as the proposed sum of N165billion for the NJC will turn them to Beggars
The lawmakers also want N15billion Outstanding from the 2023 budget of N150billion to be released to the NJC as soon as possible to Carry out its constitutional Mandate
They stress that the national assembly has laws which budget formulations are premised on and with the submission by NJC those provisions have been bridged
The Committee has Adjourned till Thursday , to allow the DG budget and the Minister of Finance to appear before it with clarification on the funds appropriated for NJC.
