The immediate past Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi is dead.

Ajimobi had been on a life support machine at First Cardiology Hospital in Ikoyi, Lagos, after slipping into a coma following Coronavirus complications. He died on Thursday, June 25, 2020.

Ajimobi, a former Chief Executive Officer, National Oil and Chemical Marketing Company, a subsidiary of Shell Nigeria, died due to underlined health conditions, which was worsened by COVID-19.
