Rotimi Owolabi and Asuquo Mkpoikana Joseph Win 2nd Edition of Adavize Alao Essay Competition

The winners of the 2nd edition of the Adavize Alao Essay Competition on Privacy and Data Protection have been announced. The essay contest which was in its second edition attracted bigger prizes than the first edition as this time around, it was bigger and better.

The competition started in honor of Lawyard’s co-founder Adavize Alao who had a strong passion for Privacy and Data Protection.

The 2nd edition of the essay competition was keenly contested for in two categories, one for law students and the other for young lawyers of 1-5 years post-call.

After reading the brilliant essays submitted, the judges selected ROTIMI OWOLABI from Obafemi Awolowo University as the winner of the Law Students Category of the Essay Competition. Owolabi will receive a prize of ₦100,000.

Meanwhile, ASUQUO, MKPOIKANA JOSEPH won the Young Lawyers category with a cash prize of ₦200,000.

Honourable mentions in the law students category are SUSAN CHIMA OMEH and OGBU CHIEDOZIE KELECHI while ADEMOLA ADEWUYI ADEYOJU and MUSA, OMAYI SANDRA earned honourable mentions in the young lawyers category.
