More than ever before there is a need to critically review how the burdens placed on lawyers and judges can be lifted, in order to improve access to justice and the administration of justice.
This can be achieved by accepting and embracing the role and relevance of paralegals in the delivery of legal services and administration of justice in Nigeria.
The Institute of Paralegal Services (IOPS) was set up to meet the inherent challenges within the Nigerian legal sector and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the judicial sector across Nigeria.
Creating awareness of paralegals, providing adequate training for paralegals, and embracing them as key players in the legal system have been adopted as some of the viable tools for bridging the gaps in the legal sector. We, therefore, believe that discussions such as these will be beneficial for all parties involved most especially to the legal sector of Nigeria.
This webinar on the above-referenced topic to is being held to engage discussions on how to move the paralegal profession in Nigeria forward.
