Benue State Governor, Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia has granted financial autonomy to both the legislative and the judiciary arms of government.
Mr Tersoo Kula, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, disclosed this to journalists on Thursday at the Government House, Makurdi.
Kula said it was part of the decisions that were taken during the state’s Executive Council meeting held on Wednesday.
Sir Kula further said the governor during the meeting reiterated his unshaken stand on infrastructural development, payment of salaries and pensions, saying those would always be the main focus of the administration.
He disclosed further the desire of the government to start saving for the rainy days, adding that the Exco approved the establishment of Benue Subnational Fund, where monies could be saved for turbulent times.
