BREAKING: Court Reinstates Bayero As Kano Emir
The Federal high court has declared the dethronement of The 15th Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero illegal.
The presiding Judge, Justice Abdullahi Liman has ruled that the reappointment of Muhammadu Sanusi II as the 16th Emir of Kano is invalid.
The court also faulted all steps taken by Kano state government to repeal the Kano Emirates Council Law.
The court has approved the respondent’s request to pause the legal proceedings until the case is heard and decided at the Court of Appeal. Additionally, the court has relocated the case to the Federal High Court.
