The Kaduna State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Kaduna, on Thursday, declared the March 18 governorship election in the State as inconclusive.
INEC had earlier declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Uba Sani, as the winner of the election.
But, dissatisfied with the outcome, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Rt. Hon. Isah Mohammed Ashiru, challenged the declaration of Senator Sani before the Tribunal and urged it to declare Ashiru as the winner of the election instead.
However, ruling on the petition on Thursday virtually, the three-man panel of Justices led by Justice Victor Oviawe, in a split decision declared the election inconclusive and ordered a supplementary election in 24 polling units in seven wards of four local government areas of the State consisting of 16,300 registered voters within 90 days.
