Corrigendum: Retraction and Apology to Hakeem Otiki for Misidentification in Published Article
On 18 July 2024, LAWYARD published a report titled “Court Orders Final Forfeiture of Ex-NAPL MD Properties in Lagos” which reflected the outcome of the prosecution of a former Managing Director, Nigerian Army Properties Limited, NAPL, Major-General U.M. Mohammed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
The report contained an image of Major-General U.M. Mohammed super-imposed on that of Hakeem Otiki, who was not connected to the trial. The inclusion of Hakeem Otiki’s image was an error and the error is deeply regretted.
The LAWYARD editorial team hereby extends its heartfelt apology to Hakeem Otiki for the erroneous use of his image in the report and for all discomfort, distress and inconvenience caused by the misidentification. An appropriate image has been used in the report and the updated report can be seen here: Court Orders Final Forfeiture of Ex-NAPL MD Properties in Lagos
