Justice Sylvanus Oriji of the Federal Capital Territory High Court has granted former Governor of Taraba State, Darius Ishaku, bail of N150 million and two sureties in like sum.
The two sureties must be residents of Abuja with verified house addresses, and one must be a director with the Federal Civil Service.
Ishaku was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on a ₦27bn alleged fraud.
Justice Oriji barred Ishaku and his co-defendant, Bello Hero, from traveling outside the country without court permission.
The EFCC, through its counsel, Rotimi Jacobs, did not oppose Ishaku’s bail request.
The trial will commence on November 4, 5, and 13.
Ishaku was governor of Taraba State from May 2015 to May 2023.
