A Justice of the Court of Appeal, Justice Lokulo-Sodipe has died in Court.
The jurist slumped while dressing in his Chambers for today’s proceedings and attempts to resuscitate him proved abortive.
Untill his demise this morning, Justice Lokulo-Sodipe was a Justices at the Court of Appeal, Akure Division.
The late judge was born on the 18th of February, 1956 and was appointed to the Appellate Court on the 15th of February, 2008.
He was sworn in on the 15th of February 2008 and served in Abuja, Enugu and Benin Divisions till April 2014 when he was posted to his present duty post at the Ekiti Division. He is from Abeokuta South in Ogun State, and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1979.
Among numerous positions held, he was a member of the Gubernatorial/ State Assembly Elections Petitions Tribunal for Anambra and Cross River States respectively in 1999 and a member of the National Assembly, Governorship and Legislative Houses Election Petitions Tribunal for Benue State in 2003.
He is widely regarded as a hardworking Judge and a masterful writer of judgements.
He was the Chairman of the Law Reporting Committee of Ogun State Judiciary from December, 2001 to January, 2008.
Hon. Justice Lokulo-Sodipe is married to Mrs. Afolake Ibironke Lokulo-Sodipe and the union is blessed with two children
