A Lagos Division of the Federal High Court has ordered the “immediate release” of former Abia State governor, Orji Kalu, from the Nigerian Correctional Service.

The sitting judge, Mohammed Liman, granted an application moved by Mr Kalu’s counsel Lateef Fagbemi, seeking his release.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) did not oppose the application.
