Godwin Obaseki Declared Winner of Edo Gubernatorial Election
The incumbent governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki has been declared the winner of the just concluded Governorship election in the state.
The governor, who ran under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, was declared winner with a total of 307,955 votes, defeating his rival and APC candidate, Osagie Ize-Iyamu, who polled 223,619 votes.
The results declaration has thrown supporters of Obaseki and the PDP into jubilation.
