The Governorship election petition tribunal sitting in Lafia, Nasarawa State, on Monday has nullified the election of Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state, declaring PDP’s David Ombugadu as the winner.
Delivering the judgment virtually, the chairman of the tribunal, Justice Ezekiel Ajayi declared Emmanuel Ombugadu of the PDP as the lawfully elected governor of Nasarawa State.
Ombugadu had approached the court to seek redress on the election Victory of Abdullahi Sule and the all progressive Congress, claiming electoral malpractice
Governor Sule, according to INEC results, polled a total of 347,209 votes to defeat his closest opponent, Ombugadu, who secured 283,016 votes.
