The Niger State House of Assembly has confirmed Justice Halima Ibrahim Abdulmalik as the substantive Chief Judge of the State.
Niger State governor Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello had earlier forwarded a letter seeking for the confirmation of the acting chief judge after the retirement of the former Chief Judge, Justice Aisha Lami Bawa Bwari on 25th February this year.
The new Chief Judge’s confirmation was unanimously agreed by the lawmakers after her screening.
The lawmakers who spoke highly of the new chief judge’s robust and reputable background urged her to put in her wealth of experience towards enhancing the judicial system.
Responding, Justice Halima Ibrahim Abdulmalik assured the lawmakers of her intention to digitize the judicial system for quick and speedy dispensation of justice in the state.
