Qatar 2022: Super Eagles Crash Out of World Cup

The Super Eagles of Nigeria on Tuesday failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup after struggling to secure a 1-1 draw with Ghana.

Both teams played a goalless draw on Friday at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium in Kumasi but allowing Ghana score at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium Abuja meant the Black Stars qualified on away goal advantage.

Thomas Partey opened scoring for the Black Stars in the 10th minute with an outside shot that Super Eagles goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho should have saved.

A poor tackle by Denis Odoi on Ademola Lookman earned Nigeria a penalty which William Ekong scored decisively.
