Professor Zacchaeus Adangor, the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Rivers State, has officially resigned from his position.
The resignation was communicated through a letter addressed to Governor Siminalayi Fubara, where Adangor cited “purely personal reasons” as the driving force behind his decision.
Speculations, however, have surfaced, linking Adangor’s resignation to recent controversial actions taken by the Governor.
Notably, the Governor’s exclusive presentation of the state budget to only five members of the House of Assembly has raised eyebrows.
Additionally, the recent demolition of the State House of Assembly complex on Wednesday adds another layer to the unfolding situation.
