Taraba Judicial Commission commends Appointment of High Court Judge, Khadis

The Taraba State Judicial Service Commission JSC, on Friday, recommended the appointment of a high court judge, and two Khadis for the Taraba State Sharia Court of Appeal.

In a press statement signed by Barr. Talatu Abubakar Jen, the executive secretary, on behalf of the chief Judge, Justice Joel Agya, the recommendation follow due process and qualifications in accordance with the National Judicial Service rules.

The statement also disclosed that the judge’s recommendation to the NJC for appointment came as part of resolutions reached at the commission’s 123rd Meeting held in Jalingo.

“During our 123rd meeting, the Taraba State Judicial Service Commission recommended a judge for the appointment as high court judge, and two Khadis for the Taraba State Sharia Court of Appeal.

“At the meeting, the commission also approved the demotion of two drivers for misconduct. Mr Ibrahim Danjarimi and Danladi Bako, the two drivers were demoted for abandoning their duty posts without lawful excuse and other acts, inconsistent with their terms of employment.

Mr Ibrahim Danjarimi was demoted from Grade Level 8 to Grade Level 6 while Mr Danladi Bako was demoted from Grade Level 7 to Grade love 5”, the statement disclosed.
