Senior Partner at Templars and immediate past Chairman of the NBA Section on Business Law has expressed sadness over the demise of Her Royal Highness, Lady Christy Anagende.
In a statement issued this morning, he said “I express my heartfelt sympathies over the loss of a respected legal practitioner, active member of NBA Makurdi Branch and a reputable leader – Her Royal Highness, Lady Christy Anagende. Until her passing, she dedicated years of service as Permanent Secretary to the Benue State Ministry of Justice and as Solicitor General to the Benue State Government. Her leadership capabilities were also exemplary while she served as a Trustee of Ayatutu Lawyers Forum Worldwide. There is no doubt that she will be missed by the Makurdi Bar, the Benue State Ministry of Justice, the Ayatutu Lawyers Forum and Benue State at large. Indeed, the Nigerian Bar Association has lost a distinguished practitioner”
Mr Akpata went on to offer condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of the deceased and prayed for the soul of the deceased to find rest. He continued ” I also commiserate with the family, friends and loved ones of the deceased. While to many of us, Her Royal Highness Lady Christy Anagende was a legal luminary and a force to be reckoned with, to some others, she was even more – – family, a friend or a loved one. Truly, death is hardest on those that the deceased leaves behind. May the Almighty God grant these ones the fortitude to bear this colossal loss and may He grant her soul repose in the bosom of the Lord.
With sincere sympathy,
OLUMIDE AKPATA”
