The Nigerian Bar Association-Institute of Continuing Legal Education (NBA-ICLE) has announced a new free training programme on blockchain technology for lawyers, according to NBA-ICLE Chairman Tobenna Erojikwe.
In his announcement, Chairman of the NBA-ICLE, Tobenna Erojikwe revealed that NBA-ICLE will be offering a 5-day virtual training programme called “Mastering Blockchain for Lawyers” from February 15 to February 20, 2024. He emphasised that the intensive training sessions will be entirely free of charge for participants.
“I am excited to introduce this unique and valuable opportunity for lawyers to gain expertise in blockchain technology through our upcoming training programme,” Chairman Erojikwe said in the announcement.
The programme will feature sessions facilitated by industry experts Ugochukwu Obi, Davidson Oturu, Senator Ihenyen, and Buki Ogunsakin. Topics will cover blockchain applications in law such as smart contracts, digital identity, decentralised finance, and regulatory considerations.
Tobenna Erojikwe highlighted that through this training, lawyers can acquire the skills needed to understand the potential impacts blockchain could have on legal services.
