DELE ADESINA SAN'S PASSION AND ZEAL TO MAKE A CHANGE IN THE NBA IS SECOND TO NONE. Victor Okotie Esq.

My first encounter with Deacon Dele Adesina, SAN (“DASAN”) was in 2011. My admiration began with his appearance; if you know him you will know he always dresses very well. In his words, “first impression matters and the way you dress determines how you will be addressed”. I worked in his law firm for five years, and those years remain memorable to me, being my formative period as a legal practitioner.

I was surprised to see that as a SAN, he resumed very early to work, and he always participated in the early morning prayers before commencement of work. DASAN is not just a good mentor and teacher, he is also a very good listener who always pays attention to whatever contribution anyone makes in any discussion, even if you are a day old in the bar. You will always see him with a jotter, and when you are talking to him, he notes down the vital points and addresses them one after the other.

He built my confidence then, as a very young lawyer, and gave me opportunity to handle appellate cases including cases outside jurisdiction. His carriage is something I personally admire, and that has not in any way affected his humility. On my way to the airport, most times I stop over to greet the Learned Silk and the reception I get is always awesome.

DASAN is sold out to the Nigerian Bar Association (“NBA”) and had been consistent and fully integrated in the activities of the Bar. His passion and zeal to make a change in the Association is second to none. DASAN’s love for the Bar is not sudden for the sake of the election, it dates back to decades of selfless service to the Bar, and I respect him for that.

I stand with DASAN.

Mr. Victor Okotie.
